Creem

Creem

Smooth payments for SaaS

Creem provides SaaS companies with an easy and robust payment solution, with a focus on fair pricing.

We charge 0% in fees up to 1000 EUR

AND...we are are extending that with an additional 500 EUR for Product Hunt users in the next 24 hours after launch 👀Creem caught my attention after trying to find a good robust payment solution, with a strong developer focus but also fair/transparent pricing.

Their product ticks all the boxes for me and the 24/7 support has been great. With no fees at all for the first 1000 EUR the price point is very supportive when still finding product market fit.

They’re doing a deal for this launch also to extend that by 500 EUR for PH users (next 24 hours only).

Founders @sudoferraz and @alec_erasmus will be available for an AMA all day today to answer questions on the product. Congrats on the launch guys, what inspired you to build the product?@alec_erasmus @jasondainter

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! We're thrilled that Creem has caught your attention Jason, and to be launching on Product Hunt!

The inspiration behind Creem came from our own experiences and frustrations in the fintech industry. We noticed a gap in the market for a Merchant of Record and payment solution that truly prioritized Small and Medium SaaS businesses while also offering fair and transparent pricing.

We see MoRs serving the needs of Content Creators, Digital Products, Open Source Developers, but no one really addressing the actual needs and functionalities of S&M SaaS businesses.

We sincerely hope that everyone enjoys using Creem and that we can make a positive impact on businesses out there. Our mission is to empower and support you in your journey to success.

As a special offer for our Product Hunt launch, we're excited to provide an additional 500 EUR in processing with 0% fees. To claim this bonus, simply sign up for Creem and send us the code promotion code via the live chat inside the app. We'll then apply it to your account;

I'm happy to answer any other questions today!@alec_erasmus @jasondainter @atulkumarx

Thanks Atul!@sudoferraz @alec_erasmus @jasondainter perfect work team, will check this out. Using Lemon Squeezy as of now. Hopefully, this will save us some time and money. All the best for launch.@alec_erasmus @jasondainter @prad_vv

Thanks for the support!

Pradhumn, out of curiosity, how was your onboarding experience with Lemon Squeezy?@alec_erasmus @jasondainter @sudoferraz onboarding experience was decent, neither exceptional nor bad.Is it a brand-new platform or already have paying users? 🙂 I think you offer quite a generous payment quota for getting first fees. How big companies (ideally) should be to register there? I mean... do you have any preferred client in these terms? (I suppose it needs to be someone bigger and in that case, what comes to my mind the question: how do you want to convince big players to use your product instead of any other established company doing the same?) I like the idea behind that and would like to reveal more about it.@busmark_w_nika

Hey Nika, thanks for such a thoughtful question!

We are very much focused on SaaS businesses, and specially in the future we will be able to alleviate a lot of the burden related to financial functionalities out of them, both in operational complexity and implementation.

Is this the type of business you are mentioning in your question? If so, are these financial functionalities/embedded finance attractive to them in your view?@sudoferraz I meant who is your ICP (or Ideal Business persona as it is SaaS). Because big players on the market who have big transactions already have their "known" providers. How do you want to attract these big players? Because big players = revenue for you. Or in other words: How are you different from your established competition?@busmark_w_nika

Our ICP at the current stage are Indie Hackers and Small to Medium SaaS businesses. Instead of trying to go for the big players from the beginning, we are aiming to take a slightly different approach, and work with the smaller players and grow together with them until maturing enough so that our offer becomes more compelling to bigger companies.

That is going to happen when we start offering embedded finance functionality already integrated with their customer and payment data!

We are super excited to arrive there, but it will take some time, and we decided to run a marathon, not a sprint!

Imagine being able to have a referral program, a cashback program, a loyalty program, or even give your customer checking accounts or implement lending programs, without any operational overhead or engineering resources!

This is what the future will look like for us!

Providing these functionalities out-of-the-box, reducing their bill with other providers or their engineering costs! 😎

Did you asked because you believe we could already attract them even on this early stage?@sudoferraz From what you have on the website I comprehended that you are going for big players :D so that's why I asked. You can reach out to them, of course but it would be great to have some approvals from existing users – that could help a lot :) Wish you good luck with covering the market :)@busmark_w_nika

Thanks Nika!

I appreciate the support! Would love to get your feedback on what we could improve on the landing page to make the content more clear!Smooth indeed!

Congrats on the launch!

What type (and size) of companies do you believe is your primary customer?@casper_brix

Hey Casper, thanks!

Let's get smoothy 😎

We would like to grow together with Small and Medium SaaS Businesses, and we literally felt in love with the Indie Hacker and #BuildInPublic community!

With that said, we have some features on the pipeline related to migrating customers from other providers. What kind of product are you looking to using Creem for out of interest? Would it fit into that niche?I love the USP! Do you support usage-based pricing? I couldn't find any references in the docs. Congrats on the launch!@ohansemmanuel

Thanks for the support Ohans!

Unfortunately not yet, is this a use case you would be looking for? We are thrilled to get requests from users, it makes us deliver 5x faster 😎

What kind of product are you planning in using Creem for out of interest?@sudoferraz Most SAAS offer subscriptions. So in all honesty, it makes sense that Creem supports that first.

My use case: I'm building a pay-as-you-go SAAS, which means the billing is centred around usage, not subscriptions.

For context, I use Lemonsqueezy right now for this

Do you have an email newsletter? Would love to stay in touch with the product's development. It's got great potential!@ohansemmanuel Thanks for the encouraging words! That means a lot ❤️

We don't have an email newsletter, but now that you mentioned, we will need to create it 😂

We do have updates in email for users that are signed up on the app, a blog and our discord community (Link in the docs)!

Regarding the PAYG model, would love to know your thoughts on LS apis and how they cater for your use case. We were looking into a simplified token model that makes the integration easier. Is your specific use case a complex one?@sudoferraz happy to have a dedicated chat on this (if required). I don't know if I can do the question justice over text here :) My LinkedIn is in my bio (happy to connect and chat about this)

Current use case is graduated pricing. LS apis aren't bad, they do have their quirks though@ohansemmanuel Sounds good Ohans!

Will shoot you a DM once the launch craziness has passed!
