I'm thrilled to introduce CareerGo, a platform born and built in Kenya 🇰🇪, designed to help professionals navigate their career paths and explore passive income opportunities.

What's CareerGo all about? It's a tool that assists mid-career professionals in enhancing their career prospects and potentially developing additional income streams. Our standout feature? Helping users quickly create polished resumes and cover letters when unexpected job opportunities arise.

The inspiration behind CareerGo:

1. Seeking passive income opportunities (inspired by my mentor's advice)
2. Navigating my own career transition during challenging times at my previous job

Our journey so far:

• We've onboarded 10 dedicated users, all mid-career professionals
• Interestingly, a common thread among our users is that they've faced sudden job opportunities requiring rapid resume and cover letter creation
• It's been a learning experience - we've tackled technical challenges and grown in our understanding of customer service and product stability

when you add a job by copy pasting the job description, we use ai to extract the important things like ATS keywords, jobs and responsibilities

the processed job description is used to generate cover letters together with the resume with ai following a specified format

for resumes, you just need to have a rough idea of what you did in your job to give you a set of bullet points to use

right now I am looking into keywords, because there are chatgpt apps in the store that can rewrite your whole resume in an instant with the keywords@zengdamo the other new features will primarily be demand side driven. if more paying customers suggest features I will be more inclined to look into them

I am also using it to apply for jobs (dogfeeding) so in some cases of I find something is missing I can for sure add it
