Free Online Courses for Veterans Needing Business Start-Up or Accelerator Help
Are you a Veteran with dreams of entrepreneurship? Do you need guidance to put your business ideas into action? Warrior Rising, a non-profit organization founded by Veterans for Veterans, is here to help!
Next Course Start Date: February 27, 2025.
This free Service-Disabled Veteran Entrepreneurs (SDVET) online course is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and will provide:
- Four weeks of web-based instruction.
- Access to additional programs such as Warrior Academy and Warrior University.
Course Sessions Overview:
- Session 1: Introduction to starting a business and identifying opportunities.
- Session 2: Understanding markets and building your economic model.
- Session 3: Legal structuring and financing options.
- Session 4: Business plan creation and government contracting resources.
When: Sessions are virtual via Zoom at 7 PM ET on Feb. 27, Mar. 6, 13, and 20.
Qualifications:
- Must be a service-disabled Veteran.
- Required documents include a DD-214 and a valid disability letter from the VA.
- Current or widowed spouses of qualifying Veterans can also participate.
