Celebrating Young Innovators
At just 15, Dylan Diamond developed an app that made it easy for his classmates at Staples High School to access their schedules and grades. But he didn’t stop there; he took his vision national, creating Saturn—an essential calendar and time management app for high school and college students. This customizable and shareable platform includes everything from classes to sports practices and concerts.
As the CEO of Saturn Technologies, Dylan now leads a team of over 100 employees from their New York headquarters. His journey reflects the spirit of innovation fostered at Staples, where he graduated in 2017.
A New Wave of Entrepreneurs
Dylan is part of a remarkable group of Staples alumni making waves in the tech world. Max Hammer, a year ahead of Dylan, graduated from Penn with a degree in international relations and now serves as CEO of CrowdVolt—a platform that simplifies the exchange of rave and EDM tickets without the high fees associated with other sites like Facebook Marketplace.
Max and his classmate Josh Karol, who serves as CTO, have garnered significant attention as they tackle a problem that resonates with their generation. Their efforts are backed by Y Combinator, a leading startup accelerator.
Another standout is Jack Sharkey, who, despite being younger, has already made his mark as CTO of Whop. This platform connects buyers and sellers in the digital economy and recently secured $17 million in Series A funding, valuing the startup at $100 million.
The Young Innovators Forum
On November 25, these inspiring young entrepreneurs will share their journeys at Startup Westport’s Young Innovators Forum. This event, moderated by Molly O’Shea, a Staples alum and venture capital investor, will highlight the challenges they faced, the solutions they created, and how their experiences at Staples shaped their paths.
The forum aims to celebrate the success of these extraordinary innovators, who are all under 26. It promises to inspire current students, parents, and the broader Westport community.
Join us for an evening of innovation and inspiration, as we showcase the incredible achievements of these young leaders in tech.
