Mago's Groundbreaking Investment

Mago, a French start-up specializing in AI video transformation, has successfully raised $1.57M (€1.5M) in a pre-seed funding round led by Atlantic Labs, a prominent European investor based in Berlin.

Expansion Plans

This funding will allow Mago to expand its team and accelerate the development of its innovative technology, with a market launch set for early 2025.

Capturing a Growing Market

Mago aims to leverage the rapidly growing video production market, which is fueled by the creative sectors such as animation, film, gaming, and social media. Co-founder Alvaro Lamarche Toloza emphasized that their technology can swiftly transform live footage into various artistic styles—be it animation, oil paintings, or other visual aesthetics—while ensuring professional-grade quality.

The Power of WarpFusion

The new tool builds on the success of WarpFusion, an open-source video style transfer project developed by co-founder Aleksandr Spirin, which has amassed over 150 million views on social media. Mago's technology promises to simplify production pipelines, reduce costs, and enhance precision compared to existing generative AI solutions.

Future Developments

Mago plans to offer both SaaS and on-premise versions, alongside a free version. Future integrations with popular creation software like Unreal Engine and Blender are also on the roadmap.

Empowering Creators

Lamarche Toloza stated, “By accelerating production pipelines, we empower creators to do more with less, while preserving human creativity. Our goal is to amplify creative capabilities, not replace them.”

A Game-Changer for Creators

Alice Bardon Catineau from Atlantic Labs remarked, “Mago’s approach to transforming video production with AI is a game-changer for creators. Alvaro and Aleksandr are seasoned professionals with a strong vision, and we’re thrilled to support their journey from France to the global stage.”
