Tab Organizer

Tab Organizer

Reduce tabs clutter in Chrome

A Chrome extension that automatically groups tabs by (sub)domain or custom rules, with options to customize tab group colors. It also features duplicate tab removal, tab sorting, and keyboard shortcuts for efficient and streamlined web navigation.I'm excited to introduce Tab Organizer - a productivity extension for Chrome! 🚀

As someone who constantly juggles multiple tabs and finds it hard to stay organized, I created this extension to simplify tab management and boost productivity. Whether you're a developer, a researcher, a content creator, or a multitasker, Tab Organizer can help keep your browser tidy and efficient.

With features like automatic tab grouping by (sub)domain or custom rules, color customization, duplicate tab removal, and one-click controls, managing your tabs becomes much easier. Plus, you can sort tabs, use keyboard shortcuts, and choose between dark and light themes to match your style.

I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts. Your support and suggestions mean a lot to me, especially since this is my first launch. Let me know how Tab Organizer can be improved, or if you have any cool ideas for future updates!

Thank you for checking out Tab Organizer. I'm here to answer any questions you might have. Happy browsing! 🚀@_alexsaas this looks great :) have been looking for something like this for a while. I will try it out later on my computer. Is this all done locally? Or we have to create an account? Is any data sent on a server at any point?@_alexsaas I am the 100tabs open guy, all of my friends bully me for keeping so many tabs open. Somehow the existing tab organizing mechanism in chrome doesn't float my boat. Will give this a spin. Hopefully will not be bullied by my friends anymore. All the best for building this.Hey @owenfar,

Thank you for the feedback!

Yes, everything is done locally on your device. All tab organization happens client-side, and no data is processed on a server. The settings are stored in your browser’s local storage.

However, you have to create an account to use the extension. The only data saved in a database is your email, name, and avatar if you sign in with Google. If you sign in with a magic link, only the email is stored.Hey @prad_vv

Thanks for the support! I get the struggle - hopefully, Tab Organizer will help you manage those 100 tabs with ease. Good luck proving your friends wrong! 😄Hey @atulkumarx,

Thanks for the support!Yes! Love the colour options!

Congrats on the launch. How does it automatically group tabs?

I've tried other solutions where this feature was a bit of a messHey @casper_brix,

Thank you for the feedback, and I'm glad you're enjoying the colour options!

Tab Organizer groups tabs in two ways:

  1. By domain or subdomain: This is a quick setup - just check a box in the settings, and you're ready! Tabs are automatically grouped based on their (sub)domain names, so all tabs from the same site are together.
  1. Custom rules: This offers more flexibility and context. You can create rules like grouping all tabs with domains containing "amazon," "ebay," or "walmart" into a "Shopping" group, or those with titles containing "yoga," "fitness," or "sport" into a "Health" group.

For both methods, automatic grouping is an option. Once a new tab is opened, Tab Organizer detects it and automatically adds it to the appropriate group based on your rules no need to manually press the "Group" button. I recommend checking out the demo video to see it in action!Hey Alex! Loved it. I constantly say that this kind of idea/products that are smartly pointing to only one pain are the most useful by far. I'm so proud to see you helping on this and wish you all the best man!Hey @german_merlo1,

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words.Congrats on the launch! 🚀 The ability to auto-group tabs by domain and customize them sounds like a huge productivity booster. Plus, the duplicate tab removal feature is great for efficient browsing!Hey @ali_jan05,
