I’m Kumar Rangarajan, Co-founder & CEO at Slang Labs (a Google-backed Company from Bangalore), and I’m thrilled to introduce Conva.AI—our latest innovation that makes building AI Assistants for apps simpler than ever! 🎉

Our journey with Conva.AI began a decade ago at Meta when Amazon launched Alexa. Initially skeptical, I quickly saw how voice-based AI made technology more accessible, especially after seeing how my daughter and our tech-shy parents consumed it. We realized the true potential of AI was in making apps more intuitive and user-friendly, leading us to leave Meta and start Slang Labs in Bangalore.

We focused on creating voice experiences for apps, but early models were limited and hard to scale. Everything changed in 2022 with the emergence of ChatGPT. We saw the potential of GenAI and LLMs to revolutionize app interactions, providing a true AI experience that could scale across domains.

Conva.AI offers two levels of customization options.

• One via Magic Studio, where you can configure the use-cases (what we call Capabilities) you want your AI Assistant to handle and how it should respond back (which is basically a JSON output).

• Second via our platform specific SDK that makes it super easy to integrate these use-cases into your app and control how the end-user experience should be. We offer a headless SDK and a Copilot SDK that comes with very intuitive UX components that can bring conversational intelligence on top of your existing app's UI.

Also our system can flexibly adapt to a wide range of industry requirements. We are able to do this using our automatic prompt generation model that is optimized for the specific app from a specific industry.

We offer different ways to place guard rails for the AI Assistant. For one, we break down the AI Assistant into a bunch of Capabilities (or agents) that are specific to the app. We have a special built-in Capability (or agent) to explicitly detect and prevent questions that are unrelated to the app and its supported Capabilities.@kumrr @dash4u Thank you! While we've built the platform to make the AI assistant building experience simple and seamless, platform provides plenty of customisations in terms of parameters, message, conversational attributes, response variety, knowledge grounding, etc. The best thing is you can test all these customisation right in the studio before you update the integration.

As for picking the right configuration, our platform uses a combination of predefined templates and dynamic adjustments based on the capabilities you specify. This ensures that the AI runs optimally according to the tasks it’s designed to perform, whether it's for TTS, ASR, or any other function.oh wow. if the integration is easy for a mobile app, and the UX is great and intuitive to navigate, I will definitely consider integrating it with my app in the future. congrats Kumar and the team!@danielwchen Thank you so much! You can integrate our mobile SDKs in either headless mode or copilot mode, depending on your needs (if you want a full-blown pre-built UI experience, we recommend you try the copilot mode).
