CommandDash

AI assistant for open-source libraries

CommandDash is one-stop destination to integrate any open-source package or framework. As developers, leverage expert AI agents trained on GitHub of the libraries. Ask questions or generate customized code for your project in web or your IDE 🙌🏼.Dear developers!

We're Samyak, Yogesh and Yash. Our team is committed to building LLM based developer tools to solve core developer challenges since the day ChatGPT was launched.

Over the last two years, we've seen LLMs improve significantly for code-generation. The challenge we face today is not about complexity. But instead something much simpler.

🙅🏼‍♂️ Getting started with new Libraries

As devs, we integrate 100s of libraries when writing code. Many of them require us to spend hours reading docs, copy-pasting code snippets, and debugging confusing errors.

It's a major time-suck.

ChatGPT and coding copilots don't help since they aren't up-to-date with the latest syntax. Surveys suggest, augmentic LLMs with web-search don't provide accurate results either.

And developers are pretty much on their own.

👉🏻 Introducing CommandDash - AI Assist for Packages and Frameworks

CommandDash is the one-stop destination to integrate any library in your project.

It allows you to create custom AI agents to integrate any library such as Langchain, Supabase, FastHTML, etc without the long learning curve of documentation and generic examples.

✅ Create from Github or Package Manager URL. Add addional sources like blog & examples.

👨🏼‍💻Generate code for your usecase contextualized to your project. Works from the WEB and IDE.

😌 Debug compiler and runtime errors. Agents runs through all issues on Github to find your fix.

For Library Maintainers

To help library managers manage their support requests, we are working to provide automation features. We currently support,

  1. An AI Code Gen badge to mention in readme and documentation that takes users to the agent.

  2. Enable the agent as discord bot to help members in the server and learn from the discussions.

What's next?

Our vision is to provide developers with customized documentation for their usecases for every open-source library and even private SDKs soon.

We're working to also fine-tune models for every library to ensure we provide accurate non-hallucinating results and generate complex code not achievable otherwise with RAG.

Join 25,000+ developers who use CommandDash to build faster without the hassle of docs and support.

Try it today on the web or in VSCode!🔗https://commanddash.io

Please leave us your feedback if this is the solution you've been looking for and how we can make it better for you! ✌🏻@devindsgbyq thanks! keeping the code accurate for fast evolving libraries is the biggest challenge we tackle. Currently we're addressing with a strong RAG algorithm that can find exhastive code snippets. We also later plan to start fine-tuning models for individual libraries to generate more complex code with accuracy.Hey @samyakk that looks really helpful. Appreciate your efforts 🙏🏻

So when integrating the AI can recommend code on the latest version of the code base? This would be super helpful because many "co-pilots" become outdated very quickly.

Congrats on the launch 🚀@crebuh Exactly! We faced the same outdated code problem and hence decided to solve it. Hope you find it helpful during you next integration.Looked at the website, curious to know how till this work on private GitHub repos? Do i need to give some permissions / read / write access or it is for public facing repos only?@zriyansh we are soon launching support for private repositories. This will require authentication with Github.Congrats on the launch! I believe it’s a great value addition to the developer toolset. The ease with which you can have relevant examples customized for your code base and the focus you made on security and privacy will address some of the core pain points for developers wanting to leverage AI to streamline their development process!@samuelkaluvuri thanks for your support! we've addressed these issues while building apps ourselves and took consideration when designing the product.
